Are your projects only for clients with large budgets?

No. We always start from the client’s real budget—not from an abstract “ideal project.” Our goal is to maximise the value of the resources available, even when the investment is modest. Thanks to targeted design strategies and the integration of digital design with in-house production of bespoke components (3D printing, CNC, and digital fabrication), we can achieve high-end results—sometimes perceived as “exclusive”—while remaining fully consistent with very different budget levels.

Whether it’s a renovation, the launch of a commercial space, the upgrade of a terrace, or a public urban-regeneration project in Sardinia, the decisive drivers are always the same: total cost and timeline. That’s why we address them from day one, with a transparent approach focused on priorities. The key factor is the client’s willingness to follow a clear, quality-driven design process, built on measured choices and straightforward decisions.

If you’re curious to understand how far your resources can go, we develop bespoke, scalable solutions with no waste: we start from real priorities and turn them into a concrete, credible project with strong returns.

Do you only take on large, complex projects?

No. As an engineering and architecture studio, we work on both small-scale interventions (apartments, terraces, retail spaces) and more complex projects, always aiming to extract distinctive value from the resources available—regardless of the size of the investment. Not every project needs to be “big,” but every project deserves to be designed well. The scale changes, not the level of attention.

Do you offer an initial consultation or site visit with no obligation?

Yes. We offer an initial introductory call or a no-obligation site visit across Sardinia, useful to clarify needs, budget, and potential project scenarios.

Do you only work in Cagliari?

No. ALO is based in Cagliari, but we manage projects across Sardinia (coastal and inland) and, when required, also in other Italian regions or abroad.

Do you handle permits and planning applications?

Yes. We manage building permits, authorisations, and landscape/planning approvals, and we coordinate the site through to completion in close dialogue with contractors and suppliers.

Can you work with international clients?

Yes. We regularly work with clients in Italian, English, and Spanish, enabling smooth remote management for those investing in or renovating property in Sardinia.

We’re considering buying a property to renovate in Sardinia—can you support the decision-making phase to assess its architectural and delivery potential and avoid surprises?

Yes. We offer a consulting and property scouting service for clients looking to purchase a property to renovate in Sardinia, including non-residents. A preliminary assessment of the existing conditions—architectural, structural, and functional—is essential to plan the investment correctly and avoid surprises. On request, we carry out a site visit, technical analysis, and a first written report with potential project scenarios, so that economic evaluation is supported by a clear architectural perspective.

ALO s.r.l. is a transdisciplinary engineering and architecture studio based in Elmas (Cagliari), in a strategic location next to Cagliari Elmas Airport and the FASS Shopping Center—easy to reach.

We operate across Sardinia and beyond, working through four service lines: architecture and inclusive museum design, product design, innovation consulting, and digital prototyping. We provide design services for private clients, companies, and institutions—from first concept to final delivery.

Whether it’s a small, budget-conscious renovation, a commercial space, or an urban intervention, we turn constraints and criticalities into design opportunities. Through rigorous control of timelines, costs, and quality, we aim for outcomes that are consistently high-impact, budget-aligned, and capable of elevating both space and context.

// Architecture & Design for Inclusive Museums
We design at the scale of buildings, interiors and urban space: new builds, refurbishments and retrofit projects, complex fit-outs and public spaces — including the design and delivery of terraces and gardens.

From concept development and planning approvals to the in-house production of bespoke components, furniture and semi-finished elements, we manage the full process end to end — providing a single point of contact throughout.

Areas of expertise ↓

( + )

  • Full-scope architectural design
New builds and renovations across residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial sectors.
  • Interior design & hybrid spaces
Homes, professional studios, public venues, workplaces, and mixed-use environments.
  • Public spaces, parks & terraces
Urban parks, gardens, terraces, and equipped outdoor areas—designed as experiential landscapes.
